Sam, an energetic Moroccan boy, is admitted to the prestigious Music Lyceum in Amsterdam South. At the Pisa ice cream parlor, he solemnly promises to his older brother Sol that he will not drop out and will pass his final exams from the elite music school. Sol, in turn, promises to help Sam with all his schoolwork and music rehearsals. But then Sol is arrested for a robbery and disappears behind bars for years. While his brother is imprisoned, Sam must and will fulfill the promise of Pisa on his own.
